ITIL (Version 5) Master Certification Achieved!
Jeff Jensen recently completed the attainment of the ITIL (Version 5) Master certification on July 3, 2026.

From Jeff’s LinkedIn page: “I’m starting off the week being pleased to share I have attained my ITIL Version 5 Master Certification.
Thank you to Donna Knapp for the always excellent instruction, and to Lisa Schwartz (of ITSM Academy) for all of the support over these many years partnering together. Thank you as well to all of my classmates for sharing your expertise and experiences in our classes this past month.
Most of all, I am looking forward to the practical application of the new concepts, ideas, and solutions to assist my clients with moving ahead more successfully on their improvement (and transformation) journeys!”
The new version of ITIL (Version 5), the leading best practice framework for Digital Product and Service Management, was released at the end of January 2026. Jeff is currently working to finalize the ability to teach all classes across the new framework.

Jeff Jensen from I Train IT Leaders had the fantastic opportunity to be interviewed by Jace Finman and Service Manager Magazine while attending the Pink20 conference that was held in February 2020. Service Manager Magazine held several terrific interviews of many ITSM industry leaders, and he was grateful to be able to participate in one of them. Here is the link to his interview while at the conference, where he discussed the state of the ITSM industry, ITIL 4, and where we need to focus as trainers and consultants. The video interview is available to watch here: Jeff Jensen

On August 15, 2019 Jeff delivered the monthly webinar for ITSM Academy. His presentation was titled “The Evolution and Future State of the Service Management Office”. The link to the presentation and the recording of the webinar are available at the ITSM Academy website here.
Jeff greatly enjoyed delivering his presentation, and appreciates the opportunity to work with ITSM Academy in the past, present, and future!

I Train IT Leaders is the proud primary sponsor of the Boise ITSM Talks group. The group meetings are currently on hold until fall 2026. Previous recordings of our Boise ITSM meetings are available here: https://www.youtube.com/user/jjensen1621/videos
